WOYWW 379 – Art after Seth

So Saturday was a huge revelation and the most brilliant workshop *ever*here’s the post all about it. What a fantastic day, fantastic teacher, fantastic company, fantastic organisation by the Paper Artsy team, fantastic lunch…..just a fantastic day LOL!!

Now I’m revisiting previous artwork with a new eye, following Seth Apter’s mantra of “more is more” and this is the first makeover of a previous art journal cover which looked ‘OK’ before:

And here’s the newly updated cover:

journal cover final

And here’s the final canvas from Saturday that is now hanging in the hall:

I’ve still not put away some of the new stash that I bought on Saturday (well, it would have been rude not to buy anything!!) – a few new stencils came home with me as well as the set of Seth’s new fresco paints and some new stamps from Paper Artsy/Tracy Scott and also some of Seth’s that I was missing from my ‘collection’.

So this is my contribution to the WOYWW family for this week……..for more links to other members’ desks, please visit the head of the family Julia who co-ordinates our weekly gathering. Short and sweet post so I can go check out what other people have on their desks….

Happy Crafting

I can totally see what you added and it gave the cover a lot more depth! Loving the canvas too and those stamps and stencils are to die for! You’re quite right, it would have been the height of bad manners not to buy anything! You’ve got quite a booty there and I’m more than a little jelly! Enjoy your arty week! zsuzsa #25

ps. I only have three Fresco paints and now I’m thinking I should really get some more. And perhaps some of those stencils and stamps too. See what you’ve done, LOL?!

Wow. I love the art work. Really jealous. One of these days I’ll have to start collecting the Fresco paints, but then I’ve only just finished my collection of Distress and Adirondack paints and Distress sprays. Sarah #32

couldn’t find the blog from my phone at work at lunchtime, so it’s taken me a while to get here…. love your re-worked journal cover, it truly is a great improvement (not that it wasn’t great before) – and I am looking forward to Sethifying stuff left right and centre! Helen #1 great goodies too – you were quite good, weren’t you?!

Happy WOYWW. I love your finished canvas. I watched the Periscope last night that showed Seth ‘teaching’ this – and definitely want those stencils/stamps. The colours in his paint set were fab too. I would need to leave my credit card at home if I had been there! Ali x #19

    I’m ashamed.

I’d not even heard of Seth Apter until this week!

I will have to go and stand in the naughty corner and contemplate my life….. and find out more….
